Ricardo J. Pavón Téllez is a PhD candidate at the University of Vigo and graduated in English Studies (2015) from the Universities of Granada and Nottingham.
In 2021, he completed a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Teaching and Language Education at the University of Vigo, with a master’s thesis entitled “A adquisición de segundas linguas antes e durante a pandemia: gamificación na aula tradicional e virtual” (supervisor: Carla Bouzada-Jabois, University of Vigo). This dissertation compares the pre- and post-pandemic situations in methodological terms, with the aim of clarifying whether the outbreak of the pandemic in 2020 led to a significant change in methodology and in the resources available to teachers.
His doctoral thesis focuses on variability in the clausal complementation of the verb forget across the Englishes of the world, under the supervision of Elena Seoane.
