With the aim of iLingua achieving a significant impact on society and becoming a national and international benchmark, by implementing a scientific agenda that facilitates access to competitive funding sources, a strategic plan is established, structured around the following elements:

Motivation 

– To share a common vision and strategy to leverage the current capacity and prestige of linguistics at UVigo, creating a sustainable R&D&I entity with relevant academic, social, and economic impact in its geographical area. 

– To integrate the most competitive scientific and technological capabilities of the groups, aligned with global challenges defined in the European Framework Programs (Horizon Europe), the National Innovation Strategy, and Galicia’s RIS3. 

– To capitalize on the organizational and collaborative experience of the groups and their impact, ensuring efficiency in transfer processes and the transformation of progress in the shared scientific agenda into social and economic impact.

The mission of iLingua is to promote and carry out top-level linguistic research, offering scientific infrastructures that support cutting-edge advances and developing excellent transnational research, with the vision to: 

– Achieve international recognition as a leading center in scientific and technological research and innovation in the field of linguistics, promoting multidisciplinarity and attracting talent. 

– Contribute to social well-being through the application of knowledge and technology generated by research.

Strategy 1: Oriented and specialized scientific agenda 

Establishment of a common research agenda that promotes multidisciplinarity, inter-institutional collaboration, and the strengthening of ties with the industrial sector to enhance scientific excellence and transfer capacity.
