Hermes Salceda (1962) is professor of French language and literature at the University of Vigo. He has specialised in the study and translation of experimental French literature of the formalist type: Raymond Roussel, Georges Perec, the Oulipo (Obrador de literatura potencial). As a translator, with different collaborators, he has endeavoured to translate into Spanish some of the works of these authors while respecting the rules, or writing constraints, of the original authors: El Secuestro (Georges Perec), Textos embrionarios (Raymond Roussel), Nel Tajo! (Anne F. Garréta), as well as some films and texts by Erik Bullot. As a critic, he has published several essays and articles in France and Spain on Georges Perec and Raymond Roussel: La méthode de Raymond Roussel.
