Lecturer in the Department of Translation and Linguistics at the University of Vigo since 2005. PhD in English Philology from the University of Santiago de Compostela (2003). President of the National Association for Research in Children’s and Young People’s Literature. Her lines of research focus on the critique and evaluation of English-Spanish-Galician literary translation, especially in the field of children’s and young adult literature, and the adaptation to Easy Reading for people with cognitive disabilities, fields in which she has published numerous research papers and has participated in several national and international competitive research projects.
She belongs to the Uvigo research group ‘Translation, Accessibility, Literature, and Screen TALES’ (seal of excellence 2006). She is a reviewer of articles in several specialised journals (e.g. MonTI, Anales Cervantinos, Perspectives, Trans, Meta, Ocnos, Intralínea).
She is the secretary of the scientific journal Anuario de Investigación en Literatura Infantil y Juvenil.
