Alejandro Saá Viéitez

Alejandro was born in Vigo in 1980. He began Media Studies in 1998 in Madrid. He then came in contact with college theatre and initiated his training as a performer; later joined the Royal Higher College of Performing Arts of Madrid in 2002 and graduated in 2006. Since, he works as an actor in the Spanish National Classical Theatre Company (where he also worked as a verse advisor), the Spanish National Drama Centre, the Galician Drama Centre, the Spanish Golden Age Foundation, Moma Teatre and Nao d’amores —among others— with directors such as Eduardo Vasco, Helena Pimenta, Andrés Lima, Fefa Noia, Ernesto Arias, Carles Alfaro, Ana Zamora, Adriana Ozores and Natalia Menéndez. From 2016 and on, he combines acting with researcher and teaching roles —always centred around voice, speech and verse in Performing Arts— in teaching centres like Fuentes de la Voz and the Higher College of Performing Arts in Castilla y León. He is currently a teacher in the Voice and Music Department of the Higher College Performing Arts in Castila-La Mancha, while carrying out his doctoral studies in the University of Vigo, where he researches about the Nises of Jerónimo Bermúdez and their staging by Nao d’amores company.
