PhD in Translation & Paratranslation (Universidade de Vigo), she also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Translation and Interpreting (UVigo), a Master’s Degree in East Asian Studies with Specialization in Japanese Studies (Universidad de Salamanca) and a Master of Arts in Literature in English (Dalarna University, Sweden). She is currently an assistant lecturer in the Department of Languages at Centro Universitario de la Defensa de Zaragoza (Academia General Militar – Universidad de Zaragoza), where she teaches at the undergraduate level, and is also part of the teaching staff for the Master in Translation for Intercultural Communication (UVigo). Her research interests include the paratranslation of the text-image relationship, the representation of Otherness in pop culture, and phraseology. Regarding research groups, she is a member of the Translation & Paratranslation TI4 research group (UVigo) and of LediCUDe: Language, Discourse, Culture and Defence (CUD de Zaragoza), also collaborating with PHRASEONET (Universidade de Santiago de Compostela) as an external researcher.
