Sonsoles Facal Álvarez

I hold a BA in Hispanic Philology (UNED), am a specialist in Applied Linguistics (University of Vigo), and a PhD candidate in the Communication programme of the Department of Linguistics and Translation at the University of Vigo. My thesis is supervised by Professor Lourdes Lorenzo.
My research activity integrates cognitive sciences and translation studies as a theoretical framework for Accessible Language, and focuses on the semantic-pragmatic dimension as the core of the adaptation process. I currently teach the course Easy-to-Read and text validation in the EMAU programme at the University of Vigo.
