Juan Pablo Valverde Morán

Juan Pablo Valverde holds a degree in Hispanic Philology from the Autonomous University of Madrid (1986). At the Institute of Educational Sciences of the same university, he completed studies for the Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude (1987). Lecturer in Yugoslavia (1988-1989) and, since 1989, career officer of the Secondary School Teachers’ Corps, specialising in Spanish language and literature. Obtained the Diploma of Advanced Studies (UNED, 2003) with a research work on language didactics. Attended Comenius/Erasmus courses on intercultural education in Iceland and Cyprus. Throughout his teaching career he has shown particular interest in language support for immigrant pupils and in curriculum diversification programmes.

His current research work is part of the Doctorate in Literary Studies program at the University of Vigo, and revolves around the history and literature of the 16th-17th centuries in the journalistic work of Diego San José.
