Jesús Meiriño Gómez

Degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Vigo. He holds a Master’s degree in Institutional Translation from the University of Alicante and a PhD from the University of Vigo, where he also completed a Master’s degree in Teaching Compulsory Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Language Teaching. He is currently Assistant Professor (AXD) in the Department of Translation and Linguistics at the University of Vigo, where he also teaches in the Master’s Degree in Multimedia Translation.

She has collaborated in several European projects focusing on accessibility and children’s and young people’s literature. Her main lines of research are metaphor and translation, translation of children’s and young people’s literature, and easy reading. She has participated as a speaker in several conferences, both in Spain and internationally (United Kingdom, Hong Kong, France and Switzerland). His research has been published in journals and monographic volumes.

He is a member of the research group ‘Translation, Accessibility, Literature, and Screen’ (TALES) and the GTiCH (Group for Teaching Innovation in Children’s Literature). He has also acted as external reviewer for the journals ‘Anuario de Investigación en Literatura Infantil y Juvenil’ (AILIJ), ‘Entreculturas: Revista de Traducción y Comunicación Intercultural’ and ‘Transfer: Revista electrónica sobre Traducción e Interculturalidad’.
