David Hernández-Coalla holds a BA in English Studies from the University of Oviedo (2021) and an MA in Teacher Training for Compulsory Secondary Education, Post-Compulsory Secondary Education and Vocational Training (2022) from the same university. Currently, he is a PhD candidate at the University of Vigo, where he works under the supervision of Prof. Javier Pérez-Guerra and Dr. Paula Rodríguez-Puente. His research focuses on the predictors of collective-verb agreement in Present-Day English from a synchronic and diachronic approach and within the framework of corpus linguistics. He has also conducted research on the evolution of agent prepositions in Middle English and Early Modern English and on pronominal variation. In 2022, he assisted Paula Rodríguez Puente in the compilation of the Corpus of Contemporary English Legal Decisions, 1950–2021 (CoCELD).
