I hold a bachelor’s degree in information sciences (Journalism) from the Complutense University of Madrid and a PhD in Communication from the University of Vigo. I earned a master’s degree in business Language and Communication from the University of Vigo and another master’s degree in Tourism Business Management from the University of Vigo. Currently, I am a PDI (Assistant Professor) at the University of Vigo.
My research interest has so far focused on the study of the sources and resources used in the media, radio journalism, social media journalism, audiovisual journalism and media, and the use of artificial intelligence in the media. I am open to new lines of research related to the field of linguistic knowledge, such as the use of language in written and audiovisual media, and any other collaborations that may arise.
I currently teach the Radio Communication courses (in the bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication) and Theory and Technique of Radio Communication (in the bachelor’s degree in advertising and public Relations) at the Faculty of Communication in Pontevedra. I am affiliated with the Department of Developmental Psychology and Communication. Area 675 (Journalism) and a member of the Communication Research Group (ICOM) at UVIGO.
In the professional sphere, I have worked as a journalist for various media outlets (Voz de Galicia Radio, Onda Cero Radio, Europa Press Agency, TELEVIGO, La Voz de Galicia) and as a contributor to Atlántico Diario, Diario de Pontevedra, and Comarcas en la Red.
