Ana Fernandez Mosquera

Ana F. Mosquera holds a degree in Germanic Philology from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a PhD in English Philology from the University of Vigo. She is a founding member of the National Association for Research in Children’s and Young Adult Literature (ANILIJ), established in 1999, and has served on its board of directors ever since. Additionally, she acts as secretary and assistant editor of the Anuario de Investigación en Literatura Infantil y Juvenil (Yearbook of Research in Children’s and Young Adult Literature).

Her research focuses on 19th-century Anglo-Saxon young adult literature and children’s and young adult literature from a gender perspective. She has participated in research projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, the Xunta de Galicia, the University of Vigo, and the European Union, among other institutions. Her scientific contributions include articles, reviews, and books published both nationally and internationally. She has been a speaker at conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings held in countries such as Japan, Mexico, the United States, Germany, Italy, France, and Belgium, and has been involved in organizing numerous congresses and conferences from 1999 to 2024.

She is a collaborating member of the research group AI1 “Translation, Accessibility, Literature and Screen.”

As an expert in the Promotion and Management of International R&D&I Projects and Initiatives, certified by the Polytechnic University of Madrid, her professional career since 2018 has been linked to the promotion of international research projects. She currently works as a senior international project officer at the Office for International Projects (OPI) of the University of Vigo, where she advises research staff on identifying and preparing proposals for European funding calls.
