Microcredential: Introduction to Spanish sign language

New micro-credential, directed by Carmen Cabeza Pereiro, member of iLingua, which is a training to consolidate skills in Spanish Sign Language (LSE), as well as to acquire notions of linguistic, sociolinguistic and cultural nature of the deaf community.

It will have a duration of 60 hours (5 ECTS) from January 12 to February 20, 2026.

The enrollment requirements are to have a higher technical degree in the area of community services or baccalaureate (humanities and social sciences); and Level A2 in LSE, accredited by the state network of the State Confederation of Deaf People (CNSE) or by specific university training.

This microcredential is part of the “Plan de desenvolvemento de microcredenciais universitarias” subsidized by the Xunta de Galicia and will have a 70% financing for ages between 25 and 64 years old. Students will pay 30% of the corresponding price.
