She was awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize in 2005 and the Pontevedra Provincial Council Research Prize in 2007. Her research activity, on which she has published several manuals and articles, focuses on the relationship between ideology, discourse and society from a critical perspective with the hegemonic discourse. In this sense, she works in the fields of glotopolitics, ACD (together with the researcher Ana Varela Su\u00e1rez) and gender studies. In 2016 she published Introducci\u00f3n a la lexicograf\u00eda (Introduction to lexicography) in S\u00edntesis. Currently, in addition to Critical Linguistics, his research work also focuses on the study and translation of the Anglo-Saxon poetic musical tradition. In 2023, together with the musician and poet Bosco Gil de G\u00e1rate, he published the essay Po\u00e9tica del Rock.
